CELEBRATING AN AUSTRALIAN MADE CHRISTMAS
Eveleigh Artisans' Market hosted an Australian Made Christmas on Sunday 6th December, where over 2,500 community members enjoyed a great festive atmosphere with local designers, artists and crafters.
With over 80 stalls offering the public the chance to purchase unique gifts for Christmas, you could really sense that everyone was enjoying such a handmade shopping experience.
The Australian Made Workshops were a hit with kids, and kids a like, learning how to make recycled Christmas baubles, paper angels, special Christmas treats and more. It was wonderful to see so many faces brighten up with the creative ideas our stallholders shared.
The Eveleigh Artisans' Market will return on Sunday 7 February 2010 and we look forward to seeing you there.
The 1st Sunday morning of the month from 10am - 3pm, Eveleigh Market hosts an Artisans’ Market showcasing the best in Australian independent design, art and crafts under the heritage listed Blacksmith Workshop.
Some of the stallholders include Silvermonk, The Near Future, Flatbird Design, Bornagainbooks , Jann French, Allegria, Danielle Anita Furniture Design, Planet Boab, Studio Skinky, and Veronique Pengilley to name a few.
The Artisan Market is ideally crafted opposite Carriageworks, the bold new art centre dedicated to the development and presentation of the contemporary arts.
Eveleigh Market’s commitment to fostering sustainability and authenticity is attracting stallholders who design using recycled materials and those inspired by the natural materials.
The undercover venue provides the ideal showroom for designers and is destined to grow in popularity based on the success of the weekly Eveleigh Farmers’ Market.
The market place is the perfect location to experience some of Australia's industrial heritage as you enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the Eveleigh Artisans' Market, and browse for original designs while you enjoy your day with family and friends over a coffee, brunch or lunch.
